Securing Funding for Foreign Aid

Securing Funding for Foreign Aid

Over 57,000 Christians added their name to our petition.

The United States has been blessed with an abundance of resources.  We spend less than 1% of our budget on foreign aid, but it plays a vital role in addressing humanitarian crises, supporting American security, and reaffirming our moral leadership.  As we face the worst humanitarian crisis since WWII, we call on elected officials to fully fund the International Affairs Budget at $60 billion and oppose all cuts to poverty-focused development assistance and life-saving humanitarian aid.

Of those 57,000 Christians, over 1,800 completed calls into the following Congressional offices to secure funding for foreign aid:

  • Sen. Thad Cochran (Mississippi)

  • Sen. Mitch McConnell (Kentucky)

  • Sen. Patty Murray (Washington)

  • Sen. John McCain (Arizona)

  • Sen. Jeff Flake (Arizona)

  • Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (New Jersey)

Impact:

990 million dollars were allocated for famine relief and an unexpected 1.1 billion dollars were allocated for disaster relief.
